I just came across this extremely useful shortcut for Windows.
If you want to take a screen shot, you just press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. This is nice and easy. However, say you want to take a screen shot of just one application open on your desktop.
The usual process is:
- Take the screen shot,
- Open your favourite image editor,
- Paste the screen shot into a new file,
- Crop the image
- Save
Alternatively, you can just use the following shortcut:
Alt + "Print Screen"
This shortcut takes a screenshot of just the application in focus. Obviously you still need to paste it into an editor, but no more cropping!
