Returned home from my holiday to Kampot yesterday to find that both my router and my wireless broadband power supply were cocked, most likely from a power surge caused by the large storm that hit here on Saturday evening (it seems that my plug board wasn’t a surge protector).
This morning I called Ezecom to see if they could send out someone with a replacement power supply for the antenna.
- 09:32 – Initial call to explain issue, service person says tech support will call me back
- 09:40 – Tech support calls back, I explain again, they say they’ll send someone over.
- 10:37 – Call from technician on moto looking for house
- 10:50 – Technician arrives
- 11:06 – Reconnected
One and a half hours from initial call to having a technician in your house replacing the borked part. Not too shabby.
