I took this photo from the small pedestrian bridge that connects Ballycastle’s seafront to the beach.
In the distance you can see Rathlin island, before that the sea wall. I was fortunate to have a gull careen overhead just as I was ready to take the shot.
I processed this as both colour and black and white, but the black and white version won out in the end. There was just that extra dramatic touch to it.
