So it was announced this week that Amazon are swallowing ComiXology into their giant maw.
No doubt congratulations are due to the ComiXology team and I’m sure they are thrilled – who am I to deny them that excitement and success after undoubtedly a lot of work.
That said, personally I grow weary of hearing about the tech giants stomping around the world subsuming all the smaller independent companies as soon as they show any potential or technological innovation.
We are a giant technology company. You have shown initiative and we can’t be bothered to do the same. We are hungry. Omnomnomnom.
Innovation, devoured by a giant corporate beast, oh how it may now wither, see it now painted monotone with the bland corporate compliance brush.
